Handling difficult conversations

From asking for a pay rise to giving a member of your team critical feedback, many of us are fearful of having open and frank conversations at work. Yet without this skill our business will suffer - bad behavior maybe tolerated and our teams will be denied the chance to learn and grow.

I use a mixture of C.B.T. (cognitive behavioral therapy), role-play, communication skills and business psychology to give you the ability handle and kick start even the most daunting conversations.

In this session you will learn to:

  • Gain a clear idea of what you need to say, to whom and why

  • Lead a difficult conversation without being distracted

  • Self-regulate your emotions even when you’re triggered

  • ’Land’ a difficult conversation by using effective follow ups and check ins

David created a very safe space where I learnt a huge amount in the two hours we spent together. I still don’t love difficult conversations, but I now have tools to help me navigate them with much more confidence than I had before.
